PBL Cycle 2 Day 1 Technology for teaching & technology for learning secondary school mathematics.

A new PBL cycle. This one is four days in length and a bit more open-ended. Everyone knows about some technology some great pieces, some popular pieces the first PBL discussion of what we know and what we dont know illuminated we know lots of cool technology for doing math in some way, but maybe we cant quite articulate whats its learning purpose is, or its teaching purpose, especially in the context of the curriculum we are to teach. A very interesting group discussion clarifying terms, defining the problem, and analyzing which circled back into clarifying terms and revisiting/revising the problem!

First on the list of action items for self-study: what technology DOES the curriculum say for specific expectations and outcomes? Second on the list: what are mathematical processes and how are they related to technology!?
